How Cold Will It Get in Cartersville?

Bartow County again is set for frigid temperatures.

Cartersville is set for another round of frigid cold, although the mercury isn't expected to drop into the single digits as it did a couple of weeks ago.

More arctic air will pour down into the South on Thursday and Friday, according to The Weather Channel.

The National Weather Service predicts clear skies, but cold temps coupled with high winds. The low Thursday night will dip to 12 or 13, while northwest winds 10 to 15 mph will gusts as high as 25 mph. Friday night's low will be around 19 with winds gusting up to 20 mph, according to the forecast.

Dry conditions combined with falling humidity values will create a high risk for forest fires Thursday and Friday, according to the NWS' hazardous weather outlook for portions of north and central Georgia, including Bartow County.
