Pumphouse Players Presents 'A Christmas Story'
Legion Theatre, 114 W Main St, Cartersville, GA | Get Directions »
$14.00
The Pumphouse Players are proud to present humorist Jean Shepherd's “A Christmas Story”, a memoir of growing up 1940's Indiana.
“A Christmas Story” is directed by Laurel Ann Walker and features Lucas Bern as Young Ralphie and Ian Gibson as Adult Ralphie.
The play follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher, and even Santa Claus himself at Goldblatt's Department Store.
The consistent response: "You'll shoot your eye out!"
All the elements from the beloved motion picture are here, including the family's temperamental exploding furnace, Scut Farkas (the school bully), the boys' experiment with a wet tongue on a cold lamppost, the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin, Ralphie's father winning a lamp shaped like a woman's leg in a net stocking, Ralphie's fantasy scenarios, and more!
The cast in this show is sure to provide you with a hilarious take on this classic story! “A Christmas Story” opens at the Legion Theatre on Nov. 30 at 8 p.m.
Other show dates and times are December 1, 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 2 and 9 at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for PHP Members, $12 for FlexPass holders or groups of 10 or more, and $14 for general admission.
