Home school students are invited to enjoy an activity packed afternoon. Make discoveries about the sculpture process and the sculpture of artist Dave McGary. Participate in gallery programs and art projects and enjoy special entertainment in the Booth Theatre. Cost is $5 for students and $3 for adults. Call 770-387-3849 to schedule your group.
4:00 pm: Gallery Walk with Featured Artist Dave McGary
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Featured Artist Reception in the Booth Ballroom
7:00 pm: Featured Artist Presentation in the Booth Theatre
8:00 pm: Upper level dinner for donors and lenders in the Booth Ballroom

NEW: Featured Artist Golf Tournament at Woodland Hills Golf Club
10:30 am: Registration and Open Range
Noon: Shotgun start
This four person team scramble is $100 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, range balls, cart, box lunch, and soft drinks. Each team is guarenteed to play one hole with famed sculptor Dave McGary and Booth Museum Executive Director Seth Hopkins. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, longest drive, closest to the pin, and winner of the putting contest. Register today by calling 770-387-1300.
No artist workshop at Booth Art Academy

8:00 am – Noon: Southeastern Chuck Wagon Cook-off on the Museum festival grounds. Teams of cooks will prepare beans, meat, potatoes, bread and desserts just as they did on the cattle drives of the 1800s. Ticket holders will be served promptly at noon. Tickets are $15 and should be purchased in advance by calling 770-387-1300 or visiting the Museum. Winners will be announced at 2:00 pm.
10:00 am – 12:30 pm: Finals of the Writing Through Art Literacy Contest in the Booth Ballroom. The top eight students in two age categories will recite their original Cowboy poetry or Narrative poetry. Judges will select the top three in each category, and cash prizes will be awarded. The winners of the Short Story contest will also be recognized.
11:00 am – 4:00 pm: Children’s Saturday Activities, hands-on activities where children can make their own Western art masterpieces offered at stations throughout the Museum.
1:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Open Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar, and Banjo Contests in the Booth Ballroom. Mandolin begins at 1:00 pm, banjo at 2:00 pm, guitar (flat-picking) at 3:00 pm, junior fiddle division (under 18) at 4:00 pm, and open fiddle division at 5:00 pm.
7:00 pm: Cowboy Gathering Concert with Featured Entertainers Asleep at the Wheel at the Grand Theatre.

Offering free admission on the first Thursday of each month from 4pm to 8pm as community outreach, Booth Western Art Museum is a 120,000-square-foot facility featuring contemporary Western American art in the main galleries and historic Western art, Civil War art, presidential portraits and letters, Western movie posters and Western illustration in other galleries. For children, the Sagebrush Ranch gallery offers interactive education about art and Western America. Special events include Art for Lunch, normally the first Wednesday of each month, from 12:15 to 1pm. Evening lectures are usually the third Thursday of each month at 7 pm.
