If you were to walk up to a random person today & ask "what do you need?" They would possibly say "More money." Most folks think more money would solve most of their problems.
Zig Ziglar says money is 2nd only to oxygen importance. :)
If you ask someone "how much money do you need?" they will likely respond, "Just a little bit more." :)
Money is important however, we need to be careful that the love of money or desire to have money doesn't consume us. The writer of Hebrews says "Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,"I will never fail you I will never abandon you.”
It may be that you are overly concerned about some material things you don't have. Maybe you have a family member or friend who is doing better than you financially & it bothers you. Maybe you were doing well before the economic downturn & you question if you will ever recover.
Jesus has promised to provide for our NEEDS. Most of us struggle with this. We confuse NEEDS with WANTS.
Money is powerful. We can easily begin to worship money. But..if money has become too important to you...if you are worrying about material things...money may mean more too you than it should. Jesus said "look at the birds of the air & the lilies of the field...the Father takes care of them"( Paraphrase) & He will take care of us as well.
