AMEN!

It was intended to be an honest "call to action" as we inch closer to the 2012 election cycle.

A Freudian slip, and a bad one at that. Your true colors are showing, sir, and the picture you are painting with them is not pretty, but rather dark and troubled. It is you, and others of your ilk, who would indeed “decelerate” the freedoms Americans have worked so hard to obtain. Your fear of those whom you perceive to be different from you, and your compulsion to preserve your tenuous station in society at any cost, including enslaving yourself to a financial system which is sadly broken, and which now only serves the richest members of our society, is blinding you to your true vocation as a human being: to serve others, not yourself, in a meaningful manner. I sincerely implore you, for your own sake, and that of your family and friends, to prayerfully consider ceasing your misguided spewing of venom upon others who are less fortunate than yourself, and those who hold a different opinion from yours. It is shameful, and a most poor reflection on you, and our community at large. We are much better than your words portray us to be.

Since when is articulating the tenants of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution spewing venom? Democrats & Obama want to socialize our government and create a command economy with no risk. This republic(not democracy) and our capitalist economy succeeded because people knew the risks and still wanted to change the world.

Democrats will never be successful because they do no realize that America unlike any other nation was established on an idea....Freedom. Freedom to succeed and the freedom to fail. Democrats have tricked the poorest in our country to believe that poverty is about money...It has nothing to do with money. Poverty still thrives in this country because of the collapse of the traditional American family, poor education, and a cyclical reliance of government support.

Freedom and the desire for a better life transcends party, race, nationality, gender or any other demographic category. When a person or society finally decides to be free no economic status will ever hold that person back from reaching that goal.

Larry we should treat everyone with dignity and respect but we should also enforce the law. Mark 12:17 reminds us they we may be spiritual people but we live in an earthly world.

The reference was to show that Jesus expected us to obey the law. You brought up Immigration & I think we should follow current law. We can be humane while still following the law.

A fence would not have mattered once God set HIS people free. I think Gingrich has a very sensible approach to our immigration problem. Border Security, Registration, Lots of deportation & those 20+ year productive members of our society get to stay with some status less than citizenship.

If we secure the border and empower local authorities to depart when necessary then ending "birthright citizenship" may not be necessary.

Mea culpa Larry. It indeed was friendly poke at someone I respect. We have to draw a line somewhere. We can continue to allow. or at least ignore the influx of these folks while facing shortages of our own, partially brought on by those who are happy being wards of the Federal government. Or, we can devise a reasonable track to citizenship while shutting off the flow of illegal immigration. This Country cannot afford to do both. As far as a Mexican joke or two? A young Mexican man was at an Atlanta Braves game and when asked afterward how he enjoyed it, replied that the entire crowd was concerned for him. When asked what he meant by that, he said that as soon as he sat down, the entire crowd started singing, "Jose can you see"
