It's a well-known fact that Bobby Cox and his family love baseball. Did you know that he and Pam also love homeless pets? Pam & Bobby Cox, Bartow County residents are sponsoring the Southpaw Golf Tourney to benefit the Etowah Valley Humane Society.
Play begins at 7:30 a.m. with registration and a breakfast at the beautiful Barnsley Gardens Resort. There will be a bid party for celebrities at 8:30 a.m. and a tee time of 10:00 a.m. Several awards will be given out at the 3:00 p.m. Awards Ceremony.
Each golfing group will include a celebrity golfer. There will also be a Pre-Southpaw event on Sunday, Oct. 7, at Barnsley Gardens with a mini-concert given by Randy Owen of Alabama. There will be a buffet with a cash bar, meet-n-green and lots of fun.
Cottages are available on the grounds for an overnight stay. The Barnsley Gardens includes the availability of partaking of horseback riding, skeet-shooting and a spa.
Anyone who wins a hole-in-one has the opportunity to win a car from Day's Chevrolet of Acworth. Drop by either event for the opportunity to get autographs from your favorite celebrities.
And, the best part of this event is it all goes to benefit the doggies and kitties needing homes that live at Etowah Valley Humane Society.
