Where/When:  Emmie Nelson Public Library on Friday from 2 to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Take a chance at winning prizes as you have some fun on a Friday afternoon. Note that this is an adult event.

FUNDRAISER FUN

Where/When: Harley-Davidson of Cartersville on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy live music, barbeque, face painting, silent auction, raffles and more with proceeds helping to fund a much needed surgery for Tina Ivester Ulrich.

ASTRONOMY DAY AT TELLUS

Where/When: Tellus Science Museum on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Why Go: Where better to spend National Astronomy Day than at Tellus Science Museum? The museum will celebrate with a day’s worth of activities culminating in a guided tour of the night’s sky.

Pricing: Adults $12 and kids (ages 3 to 7) $8. Members are free.

MAY FLOWERS MAKE AND TAKE AT THE BARTOW HISTORY MUSEUM

Where/When: Bartow History Museum on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Why Go: Bring your kids to the museum where they can celebrate spring with special crafts and activities. This is a drop-in program.

Pricing: $10 adults, $8 seniors, $7 students, $3 children 12 and under. Active military are free.

DOWNTOWN CONCERT SERIES

Where/When: Cartersville City Hall on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Myke Carrol and Arc Light will perform in the square in conjunction with Tom Clayton Memorial Car Cruize. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair!
