Celebrate and appreciate military service this Veterans Day with free meals and discounts for veterans and active members of the military from these Cartersville establishments:

  • Applebee's is treating active service members and veterans to one of seven free entrees.
  • Through 5 p.m., Chili's is offering active-duty military and veterans one of six free meals.
  • Also for all veterans and active-duty military personnel, Hooters is giving away 10 wings—boneless or regular. A drink purchase is required.
  • It's free Crazy Bread for veterans and active military at Little Caesars Pizza.
  • Slope's BBQ of Cartersville is giving 50 percent off a meal to anyone with a military ID.
  • Some Subway restaurants are offering a free 6-inch sub or flatbread to military veterans.
  • Big Lots is giving valid military ID holders 10 percent off an entire purchase.
  • Dollar General also is offering a 10-percent discount on an entire purchase, which is good for all active-duty military, retirees, veterans, Guard/Reserve members and immediate family members. Get the coupon in the store circular or by asking an employee. It's also good online today through Sunday. Use coupon code VETERANSDAY.

Some type of military ID or proof of service is required for most offers. Call ahead to verify locations, times and participation.

Before you go, upload to Cartersville Patch photos and videos of your favorite veterans and show them off to the community!
