Two Memorial Day Observances on Tap

American Legion's Carl Boyd Post 42 and the Vietnam Veterans of Bartow County will hold services Monday.

 

Two local observances are set mark this year's Memorial Day holiday, which is set aside to honor soldiers, both current and former. Here are the details, as reported by The Daily Tribune News here:

What: Wreath-laying ceremony to recognize the five branches of the military, including a rifle volley and the playing of TAPS; complimentary hot dogs and hamburgers afterward
When: Monday beginning at 11 a.m.
Where: American Legion's Carl Boyd Post 42


What: Vietnam Veterans of Bartow County candlelight ceremony, viewing of the Walk of Honor, a brick memorial in front of the facility
When: Monday, 8 p.m.
Where: Frank Moore Administration and Judicial Center
