Tire Shop Owners, Others Accused in Pill Bust

Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force agents served a search warrant at C&A Tire on North Tennessee Street in Cartersville, arresting six people and seizing allegedly illegal prescription drugs.

Narcotics agents say a Cartersville auto shop has been pulling double duty allegedly selling prescription medications from its North Tennessee Street location.

Agents last night served a search warrant at C&A Tire, seized pills and a firearm, and arrested six people, said Capt. Mark Mayton, commander of the Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force.

Mayton said a month-long investigation led authorities to suspect Schedule II narcotics, including oxycodone and Soma, were being sold from the shop as it also conducted legitimate business activities.

Six people were arrested as a result of the warrant, including an illegal immigrant and the owners, Heather Louise Brock, 34, and Mark Alexander Brock, 34, both of Old Grassdale Road in Cartersville. Mark was charged with the sale of a Schedule II drug and Heather faces a possession of a Schedule II drug charge.

Authorities turned the business over to the owners' son. Others arrested at the tire shop include:

  • Cynthia Louise Cooper, 59, of 333 N. Gilmer St. in Cartersville, is charged with possession of a Schedule II drug.
  • Amanda Elizabeth Crymes, 34, of Fourth St. in Emerson, is charged with
possession of a Schedule II drug with intent to distribute.
  • Jason Howard Crymes Jr., 40, of Amberwood Court in Taylorsville, is charged with possession of a Schedule II drug with intent to distribute.
