Tea Party: 'Organized Criminal Activity in This County'

Bartow County Tea Party Director Gail Engelhardt and local resident Paul Nally are asking a probate judge to set a warrant hearing for alleged criminal violations by Cartersville City schools employees and board members.

Bartow County Tea Party Director Gail Engelhardt and local resident Paul Nally, the pair who took a Bartow Schools board member to court, have filed another lawsuit, which takes aims at Cartersville City Schools employees and board members.

Superintendent Howard Hinesley and employee Lisa Bell, who also serves as foreman of the grand jury, in addition to school board members are named in the filing, which is attached and request a warrant hearing in Bartow County Probate Court.

The allegations relate to Engelhardt's request to convene the grand jury to hear evidence of "alleged criminal activities" by the Bartow County school board and other county officials and subsequent happenings, outlined in the attached court document.

"We believe in the transparency of our government and holding our public officials and employees liable for their actions," the pair said in a press release, also attached. "To that end we have to free the 'conscience of our community,' our grand juries, into whose hands has been delivered the greatest power on earth when they assemble and take the oath of a grand juror, from the intimidation and oppression of corrupt judges, district attorneys and sheriffs."
