Fashion: Survival of the Best Fitting

Many fashion trends have survived and continue to be renovated.

Have you ever gotten a pair of Sperry's or Wallabees? Maybe leggings or a retro jacket? What about hats? I'm sure you have a snapback.

Well if you have any of these, along with many others, then you're bringing sexy back.

Did you notice anything similar about the items mentioned? They are all previous trending fashions, brought back from generations before ours. The fashion world today has been engulfed in renovating previous fashions rather than creating a brand new style.

Take a couple of minutes to pause and observe our colorfully fashioned culture. You will see multiple trends, most likely including Sperrys, leggings, leather biker jackets, snapbacks and more.

You could also find these trends in another place, your grandparents closet or an old movie.

Fashion has caused not only the creation of new ideas, but also the molding of old trends into new and creative ones.

As time passes, new trends will arise, and others will die. Some trends will evolve, and others will survive. This is the cycle of fashion life, the survival of the best fitting.

Stay tuned, because the Baby Boomers aren't finished re-introducing even more long-forgotten fashion trends!! I have noticed the ever-so-subtle wardrobe comeback of knitted multi-colored capes and low-rise wide bell-bottoms!

my baby booming fashion statement is today what it was 50 yrs ago. Oxford cloth button down shirts, the occasional pullover, Bass weejuns or their progeny, Blue sport coat, khaki pants and for a high fashion statement, starch in the shirts LOL. All the above never really came in style--or went out. Happy Fourth!
