Still Standing: Community Honors the Victims, Remembers the Attacks
Cartersville and Bartow County officials and residents came together as a community to remember and honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001.
Sunday's memorial in downtown Cartersville included speeches by Cartersville Fire Department Chief Scott Carter, Bartow County Fire Department Chief Craig Millsap and Cartersville Mayor Matt Santini; a wreath laying in tribute to the people who lost their lives during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks; and music by the Cass Middle School chorus and Cass High School band.
