Here are spring events, plays, classic cars and more — pick and choose from this week’s array of events.
FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK
• CITY OF CARTERSVILLE AND HOME DEPOT SPRING EVENT
Where/When: Home Depot on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go: Free giveaways, free food and free home and garden tips from Home Depot, several city vendors and city departments. Arrive early and your children can attend the kid’s workshop at 9 a.m.
Pricing: Free
Where/When: Daily at Booth Western Art Museum.
Why Go: If you haven’t taken your kids to see the Ed Mell exhibit yet, maybe this is the week to go. Exposing your children to different works of art is a fun activity that broadens their own creativity.
Pricing: Regular museum pricing: $10 adults; $8 seniors (65 & over); $7 students (with I.D.); $3 children 12 & under, museum members and active Military are free.
Where/When: The Grand Theatre on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: This community production will get a laugh out of kids and adults alike. Singing, dancing and comedy are a great recipe for a fun Friday or Saturday night!
Pricing: Advanced ticket are $10 for adults and $7 for students. Tickets at the door are $15 for adults and $12 for students.
• TOM CLAYTON MEMORIAL CAR CRUIZE
Where/When: Friendship Square on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy the great weather by heading into town with the family and checking out really cool classic cars. There are children’s activities and games as well!
Pricing: $2 entry fee for classic cars or free to enjoy the activities
• BARTOW HISTORY MUSEUM SPRING CAMP
Where/When: Bartow History Museum, Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Why Go: This is an opportunity for your kids to learn about how children lived during the Civil War time period. There will be crafts, games and lots of activities.
Pricing: $54 for members or $60 for nonmembers
