Conflict between Bartow County Schools board members continued with Monday's business session, which followed the publication of a new website, bartowforabetterboe.com
BartowPolitics.com captured video of Vice Chairman and District 3 rep Angie Cornett responding to allegations she violated ethical standards in a recorded phone call and text messages, both published on the new website also addressed by Post 4 representative Wanda Cagle Gray.
A full-page ad in Sunday's The Daily Tribune News indicates bartowforabetterboe.com is funded by Taxpayers for an Ethical Bartow County, according to the newspaper, which has more from an Excel Christian Academy parent on the private school's use of county school facilities.
While Cornett said personal attacks on her family come before her position on the school board, Gray cited character and said the majority of the board is violating policy and ethical standards.
"Dr. Harper, this is not over and it's not going to be over until an investigation takes place, whether it be SACS, whether it be another outside agency," Gray said. "It's not over."

I probably shouldn't have done it, but I listened to the recording of Angie Cornett's phone call. Anyone who is that foul mouthed should not be a position overseeing our schools.

Contrary to the accusation made by Ms. Cornett, Bartowpolitics.com had no involvement in this issue other than posting a link to the website referenced in the newspaper on Monday morning, the day after it was published in the ad in the Daily Tribune News. I am really not sure why this was attributed to us by her, but rest assured, we had no involvement in it and found out about it Sunday morning after the paper came out.

If .this had been an employee of the school system, or any other business for that matter, she would have been fired immediately. Cornett needs to be held to the same standard, either not a higher standard, since she was supposed to represent the best interest of the children and citizens of Bartow County. The School Board has subjected themselves to lawsuits and continue to do so daily. Nepotism, cover-up, lies, and retaliation are rampant within the school system. Replace them all and start over with Wanda Gray as our representative for that district.

I read the text and listened to the tape. Watched the video of the School Board meeting. Hootersville's School Board.! This shool board is an embassment to Bartow County and to itself. People to interested in themselves and gossip (like to hear themselves talk) to take care of our childrens needs. Two husbands jumping up shouting at the meetings, disgraceful! They need to keep their macho stuff at home. Useing their positions on the school board to try to intimidate members of the teaching staff. " I'll have -------moved".! for personal reasons. Leave the he said , she said at home that doesn't belong at a school board meeting. We don't care if you have or have not commited adultry, We just care about the education and care of our children. I am not calling any names but if the shoe fits you---------------- ,

Vote YES on November 6 for amendment 1, the charter amendment. Allow the parents and community a voice and a choice in public education!
