For the third consecutive year, organizers are bringing together the annual Toyo Tire Community Christmas Luncheon which takes place Dec. 17.

In addition to a contribution from Toyo Tire North America, volunteers are working to raise money for the luncheon expected to draw 3,000 people.

While donations are being accepted, community members also are encouraged to purchase a Shop Bartow Discount Card for $25 which includes admittance to a Parade Party set for Dec. 1, as well as discounts at a variety of Bartow County retail stores and restaurants.

“This year’s Community Christmas Luncheon is expected to draw our biggest crowd ever,” event chair Tina Jennings said in a press release. “Toyo Tire has provided a very generous donation for the luncheon every year, but additional funds are needed in order to serve every single person who walks through the door—which is our goal.

"We don’t want anyone to walk away hungry. We are able to raise money through corporate and individual donations, but we hope that the Shop Bartow Discount Cards will also be a great way to generate funds this year. Not only is the money going towards a worthy cause, but there are tons of great benefits to purchasing the cards.”

Shop Bartow Discount cards are available for purchase at WBHF Radio, Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce and United Community Bank in Adairsville. Presentation of the card, along with an advanced RSVP, merits entrance into the Parade Party at Stonewall Manor on Thursday, Dec. 1. Held from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m., the Parade Party is an ideal place to watch the Christmas Parade and enjoy food and beverages. An open buffet will be available from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

In addition to the Parade Party, card holders also enjoy a variety of discounts at restaurants and retail shops around the county. Examples include Antonino’s, Agan’s Bakery, c.a.n.o.p.y, LuLu’s, Johnny Mitchell’s Smokehouse, The Olive Branch Boutique, Pinky Toes, Swheat Market, and more.
