Saddle Up: Rodeo This Weekend

Bartow County Saddle Club Rodeo serves as one of the biggest fundraisers for the nonprofit's charitable efforts.

Two nights of rodeo fun return to Cartersville this weekend at the Bartow County Saddle Club off Burnt Hickory Road.

Beginning at 8 both Friday and Saturday night, Bartow County Championship Rodeo is set to include bareback riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping and bull riding. Other events are the kid’s calf scramble and the wild cow milking contest.

The annual event serves as one of the nonprofit club's biggest fundraisers, according to The Daily Tribune News.

Organizers say the rodeo boosts the local economy while providing wholesome entertainment. Adult tickets are $10, while admission for children ages 4 to 8 is $5 and children ages 3 and younger are free.
