Restaurant Review: Tacos N' Subs
The place to go in Cartersville and Bartow County for fast, affordable Tex-Mex.
Tacos N’ Subs offers fresh Tex-Mex food with the speed and affordability of a fast food chain. But unlike a fast food chain, their food is made-to-order with quality ingredients. I went for lunch on a weekday and was in and out in less than twenty minutes, and that included leisurely eating my food in the dining area!
The restaurant is conveniently located on Tennessee Street. The parking lot is a little small, but there are plenty of spaces. The inside of the restaurant is quite unique with retro décor and a laid back atmosphere. I had to laugh when I looked for a high chair and found an actual high chair that you would buy at a children’s store and not the wooden kind you typically get at restaurants.
The menu ranges from all the traditional Mexican dishes like tacos, burritos and enchiladas to all the typical American dishes like hot dogs, burgers and subs. You place your order at a counter and can either take it to go or sit in the dining room and it will be delivered to you. I ordered a small vegetarian burrito and a small grilled chicken quesadilla. I was asked what I wanted on my burrito and quesadilla and was told I could have anything I want. I liked that because it was proof that every order is made to order!
The burrito was a soft tortilla stuffed with refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes and hot sauce and topped with melted cheese. It was a decent size for a small, not greasy at all, and the veggies tasted fresh. The grilled chicken quesadilla was good but definitely heavier and greasier. It was a very basic quesadilla containing just chicken, cheese and tomatoes. It would have been great if it was served with some salsa and sour cream on the side but the cheese was excellent and the overall flavor was buttery and delicious.
If you haven’t been before, you simply must check out Tacos N’ Subs for yourself. Go for lunch and bring it back to your office or stop by for a quick bite when you are on the run. They are open Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Call 770-382-7321 for take out and check out their Facebook page for updates.

Taco's and Subs has better food than a regular Mexican Restaurant. Not nearly as bland. Been going there since they opened and not tired of it yet.

Funny how all of her reviews are not negative in any way. Taco n Subs is cheap garbage. Somehow it has lasted all these years.
