Police released additional details on the alleged bank robbery in the form of an incident report, which is attached to this article.
According to the report, the suspected bank robber, 46-year-old Ivory Alonzo Brooks of 851 Cass-White Road, Apt. 300, Cartersville, walked out of the bank with $6,000.
A teller told police Brooks produced a note reading, "I have a gun no dye packs
all $20 and 100." He allegedly placed the money in a grocery bag, then in his left front pocket, where police say they found the full amount.
After bank employees called 911 and the information was distributed via the police scanner, a Bartow sheriff's deputy spotted Brooks in the parking lot of QuikTrip walking toward Grassdale and Clubview. He—and his distinctive hat—had been captured on surveillance footage at the bank.
