Police: Kmart Bomb Threat a Hoax
The store in Cartersville was evacuated for about an hour while police investigated.

Cartersville police say a bomb threat that led the evacuation of Kmart was a ruse.
Store management decided on the evacuation following the threat about 10:30 a.m. It lasted about an hour.
Authorities found no bomb or other device during the investigation.
"It was a hoax," Lt. Mark Camp said in an email, adding the store received the threat via a phone call.
Management and employees, who had gathered outside in the shade near the old Blockbuster, reopened the store about 11:30 a.m.
A couple weeks ago, authorties determined a bomb threat at nearby Dollar Tree was hoax. Camp said earlier the threat was found written on a wall in a restroom at that store.
Bartow sheriff's investigators handled two previous bomb scares in Cartersville buildings.
In May, two morning calls threatening a bomb at the courthouse closed the Frank Moore Judicial and Administration Center for five hours as authorities searched with powder-sniffing dogs.
About a week later, Walmart was evacuated in the early morning for about an hour after two separate bomb threats were called in to the store.
