Perfect Game U.S.A. Moves Headquarters To Bartow
The organization signed on to be the third major tenant at LakePoint Sporting Community and Town Center.
Perfect Game U.S.A., self-described as the world's largest baseball scouting service, announced today it is consolidating most of its baseball tournaments, including more than 1,600 teams, and bringing its operation to Bartow County as part of the commercial, retail and mixed-used development planned for Emerson.
Formerly known as Dream Parks at LakePoint, the sports facility now apparently is being called LakePoint Sporting Community and Town Center. Facebook fans are being asked to like the newly named page, as the old one goes down by week's end.
The third tenant to sign on for the development, Perfect Game U.S.A. also will move its more than 50-person headquarters operation from Cedar Rapids, IA, according to the press release, which is attached to this article.
Last month, North Atlanta Soccer Association and LB3 Lacrosse signed leases at what is slated to be a $1 billion, 1,380-acre sports development that would play host to baseball, lacrosse and soccer tournaments and include a surrounding commercial development including restaurants, shops and hotels. Officials say the privately-funded development will host hundreds of baseball, soccer and lacrosse tournaments 10 months out of the year. The first pitch, kick and shot are scheduled for 2013.
The facility between Interstate 75 and U.S. 41 in Emerson is expected to draw 3 million people a year and create 2,000 to 4,000 jobs, potentially putting a lot of Cartersville’s unemployed back to work.
The core of the development is a 262-acre complex with numerous baseball and soccer and lacrosse fields and an indoor sports facility.
