Sneiderman Could Be Cut Off From Assets
Andrea Sneiderman's Aug. 21 bail hearing may experience a glitch, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
DeKalb District Attorney Robert James reportedly froze her more than $2 million in assets, a day after she was accused of helping to kill her husband, AJC reports.
Sneiderman was arrested earlier this month and charged with murder, insurance fraud and perjury in connection with the shooting death of her husband Russell Sneiderman outside a Dunwoody day care.

Man Airlifted with Severe Injuries, Fiancé Blames Hit-and-Run Driver
A 29-year-old Marietta man Friday was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital, but Jacob Elisha Downer doesn't remember anything that happened about 10:20 p.m., said Gordy Wright, spokesman for the Georgia State Patrol.
Downer was found in the roadway on Meadowview Road in Lithia Springs. There was no visible evidence on his clothing, no witnesses, no one who heard anything, no roadway evidence and no vehicle evidence at the scene, Wright added.
The father of three sustained broken bones and a severed thigh muscle, and Downer may need bone skin grafts from road rash, according to a Fox 5 report. His fiancé, Lindsay Davenport, said it will be at least two months before Downer will be able to stand on that leg, according to doctors.

Jailer Fired, Another Resigns Amid Allegations of 'Inappropriate' Contact With Inmate
No charges will be filed against two former Oconee County jailers who allegedly engaged in conversations that were "sexual in nature" with a female inmate and sent the woman Facebook "friend" requests while she was housed at the jail last month.
Chief Deputy Lee Weems said Dewayne Powers, 34, of Covington, was terminated and Andrea Rogers, 40, of Hull, resigned on Aug. 3. Both had been employed by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office since 2010.
Powers sent a text message with his phone number to the woman's cell phone, which, at the time, was still in the custody of the jail, Weems said. Both Powers and Rogers sent the woman requests to be "friends" on Facebook, he said.
Weems described the contact as "highly inappropriate," but said, "there was no evidence to suggest that anything physical had ever taken place."
