Man Wielding Knife Robs Store

The suspect is described as white and in his late 20s to mid 30s with a beard; and he was wearing faded blue jeans, a faded urban camouflage hoodie and a pair of amber-colored glasses.

As authorities on the Bartow-Cherokee county line wrapped up a 24-hour man hunt, a man wielding a knife last night robbed the Kangaroo convenience store in Cartersville.

The incident took place 6:30 and 6:50 p.m. The man demanded money from the clerk and Lt. Mark Camp said the robber took $150 from the register when the clerk opened it.

As he left the store, the man confronted another person entering the store and demanded she give up her wallet, police said. The woman refused, ran back to her car and called police.

The robber was last seen walking towards Guest House on E. Felton Road.

He is described as white and in his late 20s to mid 30s with a beard; and he was wearing faded blue jeans, a faded urban camouflage hoodie and a pair of amber-colored glasses.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Cartersville Police Department at 770-382-2526.
