God PLEASE GIve this family comfort in this terrrible tragedy!!!

I pray for the family and friends of the man.lord give them rhe comfort and blessings that they much need at this time and the answer to many of the questions that they might have.lord lift them up

I will be praying for this family. The past three days on my way home have met the trian in emerson the trian has ben going around 60 for some reason even through crossings way to fast

Its not the trains fault. Get off the tracks.

CSX trains are limited to 40 MPH from Emerson to well north of Cartersville and even slower if they are carrying hazardous cargo. Even at 30 MPH, it can take a train 3/4 - 1 mile to come to a complete stop. Kenneth... you are correct.

That is the purpose of the crossing arms and flashing lights. "A train is coming, DO NOT CROSS."

Ya I agree with Kenneth its not the trains fault stay off the tracks ...railroad tracks are not hiking trails or short cuts or playgrounds...they are private property and its trespassing ...and trains can't stop on a dime either takes a much longer distance to stop a mile long train because of all the weight..

It sounds to me like he was playing the old game "chicken" and as sad as this is... when you play with fire you get burned.. My thoughts are with his family as they are the ones to suffer this tradegy.. I also pray for the witnesses who will forever have this memory inplanted in them.. and the conductor.. I can only imagine what these people will forever remember.

Have some compassion, someone lost their life and this is a public forum where anyone can read and post. This man was a loving husband an father, I would hate for them to read articles, browse the comments an find ppl speaking negatively about their loved one. Just remember the things you say and post can be red by everyone an you will never know how it will impact them. Since I am a friend of the family I would like to break up this negativity by saying, say thank you for the prayers and RIP to a great man, father and husband. You will be truly missed!

Well said Da Vita. First and foremost prayers are not ridiculous they have gotten me thru a lot. Second this man was a father to precious children that does not need to read this garbage. Those kids need comfort no matter what the reason was that this happened. GOD comfort this family they need your loving hands and protection on them right now. Protect them from such idiots such as these that have posted negative comments on here.

Prayers to his family and friend and the people he traumatized last night. Don't know him personally,but I'm just wondering why such a great,loving person do something to selfish as to kill themself in front of strangers and leave his family and friends pondering if it was something they could have done to change his mind. It seems like the comments are harsh,but it is what it is. This was not an accident,it was done on purpose. Sad,sad story.

For what ever reason this gentleman decided life was not worth living anymore
so sad I pray the good Lord has mercy on his soul and prayers for all he left behind. Special prayers for all that seen it and for the engineer driving the train may God be with u all.

His wife was divorcing him.

Its obvious he was commiting suicide are on heavy narcotics. Duh! His family is probaly greiving and i hope god gives them peace.

@shine when people get overwhelmed by things that come at them in life it distorts all reality and depression and anxiety set in resulting in losing hope. God is the answer and if u cant find comfort their get meds.

Marty was my best friend in High School. We graduated from Seminole High School in Sanford, FL. He was an all conference wide receiver, a loyal and dedicated friend and someone I loved very much. He was always a daredevil, and foolishly lived on the edge. This time it caught up with him. Suicide...those of us who love him will always find that hard to believe. He was a father with two sets of twins and loved all of his children dearly. He was once a great youth pastor in Marietta. Loved by many. This is what I would like people to know about John Martin Ceresoli, Jr (Marty). The rest of you negative, condescending jerks can kiss my hairy butt.

This man was my Uncle Marty.. I'm a junior at Seminole High School in Sanford FL. He had his own PERSONAL problems. But then again, who doesn't? For everyone who had something rude to say, I hope you know Jesus. He was one of the most amazing people I know. I will miss you very much Uncle Marty and I wish it didn't have to turn out this way..... I loveyou . <3

i spoke with Marty at 5:00 that morning. He was laughing, jovial, and sharp. There was no inclination at all of depression, dispair, etc.

Thank you for the kind words that were shared about Marty. Not only did he leave behind grieving children, but a grieving Mother, Sister, Brother and other family members (as well as a host of friends). So, I say if you didn't know Marty, his family or friends, please keep your ignorance to yourselves and let Marty's family & friends mourn for his loss in peace! Thank you!

Sounds like a decent man im not sure what happened are what he was thinking but it was either a dumb mistake are suicide.

Marty was my youth pastor and a good friend for several years, he was a blessing to me just knowing him. It blew my mind when I heard this had happened and I have thought about this since I heard the news. I remember the twins when they was born and how everyone was so excited for him and his family. Marty was a good man that I always thought highly of I know he was loved and will be missed by many. His family is in my heart and I hope they can find comfort in their loss

He was my neighbor and good friend going duke university getting his ph.d in religion. He wanted to go to. China with me to learn about life there. He had his struggle inside... I miss him as a friend. I pray for his family..... May he rest in peace.
