Cartersville-Bartow County Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced a new contest for its Facebook users: NAME THAT SHOT!
Posted each week on Photos & Freebies Friday, CVB staff picks photos—some obvious, others obscure—of things relative to the Bartow County community and its history.
"We wanted to emphasize what a beautiful place this is and to encourage social media fans to share these images with their family and friends across the globe," Executive Director Ellen Archer said in a release.
About 20 percent of the images featured this summer in NAME THAT SHOT! have gone viral, or have been shared and shared again.
Access the contest page at www.facebook.com/VisitCartersville. "Like" the CVB page, then click Photos and open the most recent NAME THAT SHOT! album. The first fan to correctly identify all the photos in the album by naming each photo entry individually in comments will win a prize.
Past prizes have included attraction tickets and restaurant gift certificates.
Images have included patriotic and Civil War themes, though some weeks include random images of scenes across Bartow County.
Winners are announced on Facebook.
