Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Health Clinic Reopens Its Doors

The Little Clinic moves out of Publix and becomes The HealthCaring Clinic to better serve the community.

The HealthCaring Clinic, located behind the LongHorn Steakhouse at 491 E. Main St., offers convenient and affordable medical care to the community.

Cartersville Patch recently sat down with the clinic’s director of marketing, Lisa Laub, to learn more about the clinic. Here's what we asked and she answered.

Q: What is the history of the clinic?

A: For the past five years, we have been operating under the name The Little Clinic inside Publix Supermarket providing quality, convenient and affordable healthcare for minor illness and injuries on a walk in basis to ages 18 months and up. During that time we have developed a lot of community relationships and have a great patient following. We are very appreciative of the loyalty the Cartersville community has shown us and decided to continue operations directly across the street from Publix. We still offer the same quality, convenient and affordable healthcare but now in a new state of the art facility.

Q: What does the new facility have that the old one did not?

A: We now have three exam rooms instead of one, additional staff, expanded services and a children’s play area.

Q: What treatments and services do you offer?

A: We treat common illnesses such as allergy symptoms, ear infections, skin conditions, sprains and strains, colds and flues, just to name a few. We also offer vaccinations and physical exams such as camp physicals, Department of Transportation physicals, sports physicals and pre-employment screenings. We have additional services as well, such as health screenings (blood sugar, cholesterol and lipid panels), pregnancy testing, ear wax and wart removal and more!

Q: What’s behind the new name of the clinic?

A: The name “HealthCaring Clinic” has a very special meaning behind it. It reflects our commitment to the community, which is to put the caring back into health care, one patient at a time.

Q: How are you spreading the news that new clinic has opened? Any events planned?

A: The Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting was Aug. 16, but our Grand Opening Celebration is Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be in conjunction with the Main Street East Shopping Plaza's tenant appreciation day. There will be drawings, spin art for the kids, popcorn and cotton candy. The HealthCaring Clinic will offer face painting and free health screenings, including blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol testing, while supplies last.

The HealthCaring Clinic is staffed by board-certified nurse practitioners and is open seven days a week. It accepts insurance but also offers services at affordable prices, with most starting at only $69. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit the website or call the clinic at 678-535-1170.

This is a little misleading, as The Little Clinic (which is a chain) is actually reopening inside of Kroger. The Healthcaring Clinic is actually a totally new business. The lady opening it used to work for The Little Clinic.

The HealthCaring Clinic
Quality Poor - Fair

I stopped in 4/10/2013 first, it took me an hour to get my paperwork done from a part time office manager, then she says let me go get the Practitioner. She goes out to the parking lot ,and talks to a girl a sleep in a Jeep, since 9>30 am,now it is 11.30am, she goes to the bathroom ,comes out and gets back in her car. I CALLED THE Cartersville Police and they took over from there. Then I get a call from the District Manager, Cindy and she tells me they have a Drug and Alcohol free staff, I laughed and asked her what was it that I witnessed ! She offered to give me free treatment ??? What and kill me ??? This is the worst place ever !!!

And why would you call the police because you had a 2 hour wait? What do you expect the police to do? No crime was committed.
