Headed to Jail, Pair Lights Up Cigarettes
Three were arrested on meth charges following a domestic dispute and now two of them face additional charges lodged by Cartersville police.
Following an alleged domestic dispute that had reportedly become physical and a Cartersville trio's arrests on methamphetamine charges, two men lit up cigarettes awaiting processing at the police station and transport to the jail.
Cartersville Police Department officers report Douglas Junior "D.J." Stiles, 21, of Baker Road, whose occupation is listed on the police report as "drug dealer," and Charles Douglas Stiles, 39, who is homeless, were arrested after police responded to the Bartow Motel and found alleged drugs and needles, according to the incident report.
The two "decided to light up some cigarettes and smoke in the processing room" when separated from the third person arrested—the younger Stiles' girlfriend, Amanda Lauren Bargsley, 23, of Trussville, AL, who had an probation warrant.
The elder Stiles, who allegedly tried to claim the drugs as his, was charged with possession of meth and smoking in a public building. D.J. Stiles was charged with possession of meth, possession of a drug-related object and smoking in a public building.
Bargsley faces probation violation, possession of meth, possession of a drug-related object and giving a false name charges.
