Grass, Woods Fires Shut Down Highways
A massive series of fires in the area between Highways 41 and 293 on the south side of Cartersville has crews scrambling and traffic shut down Saturday.
Bartow and Cartersville fire and law enforcement departments, along with Emerson police and Georgia Forestry units, responded to the fires that shut down Highways 41 and 293 from south of Old Mill Road to South Bridge Drive.
