Getting Ahead on School Work

Students get a chance to experience college while still getting credit for high school.

Even though the school year has just begun, joint enrollment has already been introduce to 's sophomores and juniors.

An informational meeting has already taken place to help both students and parents get a better understanding of what joint enrollment is and all the benefits that go along with it.

This great program gives students the opportunity to get ahead with college classes while also receiving high school credit for classes that their high school requires. One perk of the is program is that students do not have to pay tuition to the college to do this program. Their only expenses are fees and books, which are not cheap!

There are requirements students must meet in order to participate in this exciting program. Depending on what local college that you would like to attend, the GPA and SAT/ACT scores that are required differ.

Either way, you have to have at least a 3.0 or higher with a 1000 SAT score and a 23 or higher on the ACT. Some schools require a 3.5 GPA and a little higher scores on the tests.

It is a great opportunity for many high school students to take part in.  Not only will it get one credit for high school and college, it also gets one prepared to attend a bigger college when one graduates high school.
