investigators have sent a human skull and several bones found in a wooded area in Cartersville to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an autopsy and possible identification.
Several people walking near the Etowah River on Paga Mine Road to fish Sunday found the skull lying in the woods. Deputies searched the area, finding several bones.
Authorities say more information will be released when it's available.
