Weather

It's should be a nice weekend — the last before the kids start back to school. Several sunny days with small chances of thunderstorms are on tap, according to the National Weather Service.

Expect a high near 94 today with a heat index value up to 99. The low should be about 70. Storms could pop up mainly after 2 p.m.

This weekend, temperatures will be in the mid to high 90s and lows in the low 70s. A small chance of thunderstorms continues and increases through Monday.

The Hazardous Weather Outlook in effect for some time continues, warning that cloud-to-ground lightning, strong winds and heavy rain are possible.
