As she watched her teenage daughter swap clothes with friends, an idea was born.   With a little ingenuity, Alison Dillen turned that idea into Love 'M & Leave 'M, a  trendy, cool consignment shop at 110 W. Main St. in Cartersville. 

Its only location, rice paper lighting fixtures and hardwood floors give an ambiance delightful to the upscale shopper.

"[It's like] going to the mall without leaving Cartersville," said Dillen, a 20-year resident of Cartersville. "We ask that [consignees] bring in clean, gently used clothes and we will take a look and present an offer. We base our offer on condition, brand, style and inventory.

Love 'M and Leave 'M racks are filled with clothing for guys and gals of brands such as Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, Juicy Couture, Eddie Bauer, Cache, Bebe, Forever 21, Express and more. Also look for an inventory of formals and prom dresses, handbags, shoes, jewelry and school "spirit" wear. And don't forget, racks and racks of jeans. 

Sizes range from 0 to 16 and XS to 3X for gals and 29 to 38 and S to XXL for guys.  They also carry preteen sizes and shoes in sizes 6 to 10 for women and 9 to 12 for men. 

Store hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
