Cast Your Vote Online for the New License Plate

The winning plate design is expected to be announced by the Gov. Nathan Deal on July 15.

If you no longer find Georgia’s license plate peachy, you’re in luck because the next standard issue license plate is set to be produced next year. Even better, you can have a say in what it will look like as online voting is underway to choose the state’s new standard issue license plate.

More than 500 design entries were submitted by the public, and a panel of Georgia college and university art professors helped narrow the selection to the eight design finalists.

Those eight designs generated a lot of opinions on our Facebook page yesterday, so we thought you might want to know how to cast the vote that counts!

No. 5 was the big winner in our tiny poll, but all eight are attached to this article for you viewing.

Online voting continues through July 8, when the three plates that received the most votes will be presented to Gov. Nathan Deal. The winning plate is expected to be announced by the governor July 15.
