Cartersville Native to Appear on Letterman

Benjamin Walker will appear on the late-night talk show tonight.

A Cartersville native is slated to appear on the The Late Show with David Letterman tonight.

Benjamin Walker, who has starred in the musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and Actor Jeff Daniels are scheduled as the talk show host's guests.

According to a report in the New York Times, Walker will make his Hollywood debut on Friday when Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, in which he plays the lead, hits theaters. The film depicts Lincoln's life growing up in a log-cabin in Illinois and the "harrowing moral decisions of the Civil War." It also shows the perspective that the pivotal events in Lincoln's life "were maliciously engineered by vampires and that Honest Abe was vengefully intent on cleaving into as many of said ghouls as possible."

Walker grew up in Cartersville and attended local public schools. When he was a senior in high school, he transferred to Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan. He then enrolled in the drama program at Julliard.
