James Larry Bell Jr., 45, was jailed last month on a misdemeanor charge after a fight with his brother. Now, he can't get out of the Bartow County jail due to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold that ties his fingerprints to that of a British national denied entry to the United States, 11Alive reports.

But Bell's family says he was born at a hospital in Cartersville and has never left the state of Georgia.
