Cartersville Soldier Deploys to Afghanistan
Specialist Matthew Crane is performing duties in support of his brigade's mission in and around Kabul.
A Cartersville soldier has been sent to Afghanistan, according to a Georgia Department of Defense press release.
A member of the Georgia Army National Guard, Specialist Matthew Crane has deployed to the Islamic republic in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Crane will join the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 648th Maneuver Enhanced Brigade unit in theater where they have been since January 2012.
His assignment will have Crane performing duties in support of the brigade's mission in and around Kabul.
