Bartow Schools Adopt 2012-2013 Calendar
At its Monday business, meeting the board also approved policy changes and personnel recommendations.
In addition to hearing the resignation of District 5 representative Larry Parker, the Bartow County Board of Education at its Monday business meeting approved the 2012-2013 school calendar.
With a start date of Aug. 8 and the last day of school set for May 24, 2013, county schools will operate on the same calendar as Cartersville City Schools.
The board also updated system policy on criminal background checks; approved the purchase of lunch room equipment and a construction contract for the new $26 million Adairsville Middle School; and made official personnel changes.
