A Bartow County resident was one of many patients who participated in The Child Life Carnival at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egelston. Beth Wesley is a patient at the Aflac Cancer Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She has been in treatment for osteosarcoma since 2009.

Officials said the carnival is a way for all patients and their families to promote normalization and fun while at the hospital. The event also highlighted the career of Child Life staffers. Carnival-inspired activities inculded a doctor dunk tank, bubble blowing, clowns, therapy dogs and caricature drawings.
