Bartow Man Donates to D.A.R.E.
James Carr, who donated $1,000, was “very impressed” with the program his grandson completed last school year.
A Bartow County man made a $1,000 donation to the local D.A.R.E. program—Drug Abuse Resistance Education—which partners the sheriff's office and schools.
Sheriff Clark Millsap today accepted the gift from the owner of All Star Roll-Off, James Carr, who was “very impressed” with the lessons his grandson received in the program this past school year, according to the press release.
Carr’s grandson, Chase Ashworth, completed fifth grade at Mission Road Elementary School, where participated in D.A.R.E., leading Carr to make the donation.
Millsap said his department provides D.A.R.E. to all schools in county at the fifth-grade level.
