Okay sitting here now. Love the way it looks, nice atmosphere but there were only two tables occupied when we came in the door at 2:15 supposed to see the hostess for seating and she is nowhere to be seen. Stuck my head into the actual seating area and the staff was all at the other end of the bar talking. 10 more minutes I'm seated so we are looking at 2:35 at the table, finally looking at the menu. Lunch hour is blown away. Hope the food is worth it.

Okay food does not compare to Appalachian at all. I ordered the sloppy tacos my husband ordered the chicken pesto rice bowl and we were both so disappointed, my tacos were so greasy that I couldn't eat them and his rice bowl was so plain, we have never had a meal from Appalachianlike this. It is 3:30 and we are going back to work hungry .

I guess the boss wasn't around, or this type of behavior would not have been tolerated. Hubby and I go to the Grill for special occasions and really loved "Hearth and Harvest", in fact we liked "Hearth and Harvest" better than the "Grill".

Michael: Your point about "Hearth and Harvest" is well taken. I'm just saying, we've never had a bad meal there. I hope the Wallaces' listen to this well intended advice and make the changes, as you suggested.
The Wallaces' are nice people and I wish them well.

Is Hearth and Harvest still open? We have moved away from Cartersville and it used to be one of our favorite places to eat.

No, Hearth and Harvest is no longer open. It's been replaced with a steak house.

Dined here for lunch yesterday. Very good food and great service. I have no complaints. Mr. Wallace came by our table personally to ask what we thought. It was a nice dining experience.

My wife and I had a horrible dining exprience today. Took a LONG time for server to show up and then he had very little knowledge of the menu - couldn't suggest anything for us to try. Just before he brought out our food, he explained that the portions would be small - like bar food. He was right - portion were like appetizers but with prices like the Appalachian Grill entrees. After then getting served the incorrect drink, we finished what we had and left hungry. We will NEVER go back! Unfortunate since we had high hopes for the nice looking establishment.

My daughter just finished an evening acting class at The Grand next door. My wife and I had dinner here every Tuesday for 6 weeks beginning in February during her class time. We loved everything about Ate Track. The food is great and the menu is eclectic. I ordered something different every time and enjoyed every meal. The salmon was perfectly cooked, my wife fell in love with the Shrimp Po Boy Tacos, and my favorite was the grit cake with goat cheese.

I don't recall the music as being too loud. However, they do play rock music from '67-'72. I guess a British invasion or blues guitar solo may seem loud compared to what you will hear at other restaurants. In any case, we had no problem hearing each other over the music.

The decor is cool and they have a good beer selection. The service was great every time. We highly recommend Ate Track as a great place to have dinner in Cartersville.
