A suspect has been arrested in connection with the Aug. 5 robbery and assault at Pine Grove Church and is believed to be involved in other recent, similar incidents in the area, according to Cartersville Police.

Police have charged Jerry Jerome Kilgore, 17, of the 300 block of Old Mill Road with attempted forced robbery, simple battery, criminal trespass under $500 and entering an automobile.

According to Lt. Mark Camp of the Cartersville Police Department, Kilgore is also being charged with theft by receiving in connection with an automobile break-in in the Wellington subdivision in May.

According to police, the arrest came as a result of two days of police work, including investigators following up on several leads and interviewing multiple people.
