Work could soon begin on a $28 million resurfacing project for Interstate 75 near Cartersville and in Bartow and Gordon counties.
Georgia Department of Transportation today announced its award of a contract for nearly 22 miles of I-75, beginning at Highway 61/411 in Bartow County and extending to Red Bud Road in Gordon County.
This "major resurfacing project on the heavily traveled I-75" is scheduled to be completed by mid-May 2013 at a construction cost of $27,735,250, according to the press release.
