Normally, the city of Cartersville Public Works Department provides garbage collection on the Friday after Thanksgiving.  However, this year the schedule has been revised to allow employees to spend Thursday and Friday with their families, without asking for volunteers to work on Friday.  The catch up collection schedule will be as follows:

Both Thursday, Nove. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23, routes will be collected on Monday, Nov. 26.  Normal garbage collection for the remainder of the week will be slightly behind but will be caught up by the end of the week.  All customers are asked to have their garbage out at the curb by 7 A.M. of their regular day and simply leave it out until it is collected.

Just a reminder, there will be no yard waste collected during the week after Thanksgiving, however, we will be running leaf trucks during this week. 

Yard waste collection will resume on the regular schedule, the week of Dec. 3. We apologize for this inconvenience.
