Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta is collaborating with Oak Hill Museum at Berry College, 24 Veterans Memorial Highway, in Rome to present six Wednesday morning fun and educational programs just for girls this summer! Girls will experience a variety of activities. Girls may attend some or all of the sessions listed below:
June 8 It’s All About Me $5 8AM to 12:30PM Rising 3rd - 6th graders
Learn to design your own exhibit while telling the story of you!
design, display and share your exhibit with the group!
June 15 Shadow a Tour Guide $10 9AM to 5PM Rising 6th-12th graders
Have you ever considered being a tour guide at a Museum, at the Capital,
on a cruise ship? Come spend the day learning all about being a guide.
Then prepare and lead your own group through the Museum.
June 22 Saddle Up $10 8:30 AM to 12:00 Rising 4th graders-12th graders
Experience a real horse and learn all about it! Visit Possum Trot for
old timey games and fun!
June 29 “Meet”Women in History $10 8:30AM to 12:30PM Rising 1st 5th
“Meet” Martha Berry, Amelia Earhart, Juliette Low, Helen Keller,Annie Sullivan and Clara Ford. See how they dressed and learn what they did!
July 13 Shake Your Tail Feathers $10 8:00AM to 12:30PM K-8th graders
Learn about dance and experience the thrill of dancing yourself and enjoy
a campus tour with your friends!
July 20 World Wanderers $5 8AM to 12PM Rising 4th - 9th graders
Wander the World through 4 countries by tasting, fashion, pictures
songs, games and information from people who have been there!
For each event, submit the registration form at least two weeks prior to the event! If girls are not current Girl Scouts, the Girl Scout registration form should also be completed.
