Chief Thomas N. Culpepper of the Cartersville Police Department is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Virginia Rogers to lieutenant. Rogers is assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division and will serve as the Shift Commander on one of the patrol shifts.

She has been employed with the Cartersville Police Department since 2005. Rogers has served in the Patrol Division as a patrol officer and as a shift sergeant as well as an investigator with the Criminal Investigations Division. Possessing a bachelor's of Science degree, Rogers recently completed the requirements for her Intermediate Peace Officer certification and is currently working on her Advanced Peace Officer Certification.
