Cartersville LongHorn Steakhouse Announces New Managing Partner

LongHorn Steakhouse is proud to announce Michelle Carr has been named the new managing partner of the restaurant’s Cartersville location. A LongHorn veteran of more than two years, Carr previously worked as the Bar Manager at the LongHorn in Canton before being promoted.

As managing partner, Carr will oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s operations including managing a team of approximately 60 team members to ensure guests receive LongHorn’s guaranteed cut-above experience.

“LongHorn Steakhouse has a proud history of being a place where people can fulfill their professional goals and career aspirations, and we are especially proud of Michelle’s promotion to managing partner,” said John Alexander, Regional Vice President for LongHorn Steakhouse. “Michelle’s contribution to her previous team at our Canton location enabled the restaurant to win both Darden Restaurants’ Team Excellence Award and the company’s top honor, the Joe R. Lee Diamond Club Award, in 2012.”

A key component of Carr’s promotion was her leadership skills, which she demonstrated during her training of five managers at the LongHorn in Canton and which extend outside the restaurant. A driving force in the community, Carr is involved in the local PTA, high school athletics and serves as a Partner in Education.

“Giving back to the community has always been important to me, and I’m looking forward to becoming engrained in Cartersville in my role at LongHorn,” said Carr. “I’m very excited about the opportunity to lead such a talented team and to serve our community both inside and outside the restaurant.”
