"All About the Bag" Raised Almost $17K for Etowah Scholarship Foundation

Earlier this month, the "All About the Bag, A Purse Auction & Cocktail Party" raised just under $17K for the Etowah Scholarship Foundation's efforts to aid higher education pursuits in Bartow County. Companies like Cartersville Ob/Gyn Associates donated goods and certificates for services for a silent auction at the event.

Cartersville Ob/Gyn Associates, winner of Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce's “Small Business of the Year Award”, has been a leader in women's healthcare since its 1984 founding, introducing numerous advancements that have become the gold standard of ob/gyn treatment and care. It was the first Ob/Gyn practice in the Cartersville/northwest Georgia area to offer obstetric patients collaborative midwifery/physician care; to provide non-invasive sterilization; and to introduce minimally invasive surgical procedures for hysterectomy, incontinence, infertility and many other common gynecological and pelvic conditions. It also is the only Ob/Gyn practice in Georgia with an onsite, fully accredited, state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center for performing all major and minor gynecological procedures: The Georgia Advanced Surgery Center for Women. For more information, call 770-386-4824 or visit www.cartersvilleobgyn.com or www.ga-advancedsurgerycenter.com.

The Etowah Scholarship Foundation began in 1982 with the goal of providing scholarships and higher education assistance to the students and families of Cartersville and Bartow County. The non-profit community foundation is dedicated to:

  • Encouraging students in the pursuit of their dreams of a higher education.
  • Working with students and parents to provide assistance with financial aid, college admissions and scholarships.
  • Providing a distribution channel for college scholarships, financial aid and career assessment.

The Foundation is a collaboration of community organizations, educational systems and caring individuals working to provide support and resources for students in the community. Since 1982, the Foundation has awarded over $4 million in scholarships to over 4,000 area students.
